Description
1. The United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in Golan Heights has a requirement for qualified vendors for provision of door-to-door courier services, on a non-exclusive basis, for the Personal Effects of Uniformed Personnel from Member States to/from UNDOF and UN Civilian Personnel shipping to/from various destinations of the world on Reassignment, Repatriation, Home Leave, Family Visit or Education Grant.
2. For Incoming Uniform Personnel, The Vendor shall be responsible for the provision of a door-to-door service from collection of personal effects from the traveler’s residence and dispatch it to UNDOF Regional Office Damascus (ROD), Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic. For Outgoing Uniform Personnel, The Vendor shall be responsible for the provision of a door-to-door service from collection of personal effects from UNDOF Regional Office Damascus (ROD), Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic and dispatch to the traveler’s residence.
3. The vendor shall arrange a prompt collection of shipments in close coordination with the national authorities in the respective countries of origin.
4. For the consignments related to UN Civilian Personnel, the vendor shall be responsible for the provision of a door-to-door service from collection of personal effects from the travelers’ residence or UNDOF Regional Office Damascus (ROD), Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic. The vendor is also expected to offer the same services for return shipments from the traveler’s country of destination, or alternate location, back to the UNDOF Regional Office Damascus (ROD), Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.
5. This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNDOF reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to an EOI does not automatically guarantee that such company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only those prospective companies that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission will receive the final Solicitation Documents.
6. INTERESTED VENDORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM LEVEL FOR REGISTRATION FOR THIS TENDER IN UNGM (www.ungm.org) IS BASIC LEVEL, COMPANIES WHICH ARE NOT FULLY REGISTERED IN UNGM MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE UPCOMING TENDER.
