Security Enhancement at UNAMI Forward Support Base, Baghdad International Airpot (BIAP)

1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement to perform a Security Enhancement Works Forward Support Base located in Baghdad Internatioanl Airport at BIAP, Iraq. 2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Work (SOW), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Design Drawings, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 3.0 The requirements will include, but not limited to, the followings: i. The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, materials, equipment, manpower, supervision and other items necesarry to perform the work. ii. Movement and escort of materials, workers to/from/within the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP). iii. The construction shall adhere to the International Building Codes described herein, as applicable and as practical or equivalent to British codes/ASTM. vi. UNAMI Quality Control engineers will be scrutinizing the quality of material equipment and fixtures that will be used by the contractor as part of the construction of this project. 3.1 Extent of Works: i. Manufacturing and installation of metal swing gate. ii. Relocating and installation of existing (chain link) swing gate in a new location. iii. Installation of crush barrier provided by UNAMI engineering section. iv. Paving new road between (compacted sub-base) between new gate and external fence. v. Supply and installation of Light Fixtures/Pole Light on the perimeter wall. 4.0 REQUIREMENTS BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF THE WORK: i. Examination of Site ii. Project plan iii. Quality Control Plan iv. Work Scheduling Program 5.0 Please note the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
