RFP-2023-76-Support for USAID Reporting

The purpose of this consultancy is to oversee the management and administration of the funds received from USAID and other donors to the department, ensuring smooth implementation of the work while meeting reporting requirements in collaboration and consultation with the department director, External and Donor Relations team and team members working with the funding. In addition ad hoc support for other budget management and reporting requirements as the need arises.

Activities under this consultancy
The following activities are required under this contract:
- In collaboration with the department director and resource mobilization team, write proposals for grant renewal, additional funding or no cost extensions
- Working with the focal points in UNAIDS, monitor objective-specific budgets, track expenditures, write reports and create presentations summarizing progress and achievements toward the award objectives
- Develop a dashboard to summarize expenditure levels and alert staff when funding is not spent in a timely manner
- Work with the resource mobilization team to ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines.
- Identify potential risks associated with grant implementation and work with focal points, department director and resource mobilization team to mitigate them.
- Support focal points to develop and manage contracts under the USAID award
- Other analyses and tasks as needed on budget management and fund raising

The consultancy will commence on countersignature and run for one year (e.g. 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2024) with the option for continuation for an additional year upon satisfactory completion of initial contract and availability of funds.
