Objective of the consultancy:

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify the qualified service provider(s) with relevant experience to provide Unitaid with a Regional Manufacturing Assessment of 6 priority health products, with the aim to develop a “Regional Manufacturing Plan” for each of these products.

Qualification of Firm and Consultants:

Unitaid is seeking a consulting team with the following skills and technical qualifications:

Essential

1. State-of-the-art expertise and experience in running assessments for health products across their full life cycle.

2. Experience in and knowledge of health product manufacturing processes and systems across geographies (in particular in LMICs, especially in Africa continent).

3. Experience in and knowledge of health product regulatory mechanisms across geographies (in particular in LMICs, especially in Africa continent).

4. Experience in and knowledge of health systems in LMICs, especially in Africa continent.

5. Experience working with diagnostics and / or pharmaceutical industry and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

6. Experience conducting similar work for global health actors and/or the private sector

7. Experience writing technical reports for public dissemination, with a proven capacity to translate complex technical content into a simple narrative and key messages.

Desirable

1. Relevant experience and knowledge of public health and the development sector; 2. Knowledge of the diseases and health areas in scope of Unitaid’s mandate (HIV, TB, malaria, reproductive maternal and child’s health, pandemics).
