Description

Scope of work for Drilling of (01) Borehole with Depth of  (400M)  at Alhawary   at the water company , ALkufra, Libya.

Introduction & Locations description:

The water supply system in general in Alkufra depends on pumping the water directly from wells to the water networks & because the number of the wells is still few, a lot of areas in Alkufra suffering from water shortage especially in the summer. The beneficiary of first well will be residents of Alhawary Area, which the population is about 5000.

1- Alhawary Borehole.          Coordinates: N = 24°1934.29 E = 23°11 10.71.

Scope of Work

·       Borehole Drilling: Drill a 24" borehole from the ground level to 30 meters depth, with an acceptable variation of ±15%. This will include all necessary facilitations and the collection of geological samples every 2 meters, as per the Engineers specifications and instructions.

·       Casing Pipe Installation: Supply and install 20" casing steel pipes (API-standard, welded screws black iron), from 0.3 m above the ground down to 30 m depth. The task will also include the installation of a cementing guide/float shoe, one centralizer, and all other required activities to complete the work according to the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Casing Cementing: Perform cementing of a 20" casing in a 24" hole from a 30m depth up to the ground level, including all the necessary activities to fulfill the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Deep Borehole Drilling: Drill a 17½" hole from 30m depth down to 400 meters deep, with an acceptable deviation of ±15%. This includes taking geological samples every 1 meter and completing all required tasks according to the Technical Specification .

·       GRP Pipe Installation: Supply and install 13⅜" casing GRP pipes (Italian or German type, ASTM 2996 standard, minimum thickness 14mm) from the ground surface down to 320 m depth (±20% acceptable variation). This includes installing 7 centralizers (13⅜"*17½"), a casing shoe, and all other necessary tasks to complete the work according to the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Slotted Pipe Installation: Supply and install GRP slotted pipes 1 mm (screen) of Italian or German make, with a minimum thickness of 14mm (ASTM 2996). The process will involve installing 2 centralizers (13⅜") and completing all tasks necessary as per the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Gravel Pack Placement: Supply and place a 2-4mm gravel pack from the depth of the well up to 80 m (± 15% acceptable variation). This includes all necessary tasks to complete the work according to the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Casing Cementing (Deep): Cement a 13⅜" casing in a 17½" hole from a 320m depth up to the surface, including all the necessary tasks according to the consultant engineers instructions and approved samples.

·       Well Cleaning: Carry out a thorough water wash and cleansing of the well.

·       Water Sample Testing: Conduct chemical and bacteriological analysis tests on water samples, with a minimum of 2 samples, including provision of all certificates and results documents.

·       Well Productivity Testing: Test well productivity and pump across 3 stages, each stage being 2 hours. This includes measuring the water level return at 12 and 24 hours, and one long stage of 72 hours.

·       Concrete Slab Construction: Construct a 2mX2mX0.8m concrete slab around the 20" pipe.

·       Well Cover Installation: Supply and install a steel cover for the well & a steel plate 15cmX25cm displaying well information.

·       Technical Report Preparation: Prepare a comprehensive technical report summarizing all the work performed and outcomes.

·       Submersible Pump Installation: Supply and install a 75 hp submersible (ESP) pump with a capacity of 150 m³/hrs., and a head to pump 350m (Delta star Italian type Rovatti or equivalent).

·       PPR Pipe Installation: Supply and install 6" PPR pipe (OD) water pumping pipes with a pressure tolerance of up to 40 bar, and a tested pressure up to 100 bar, along with all necessary accessories.

·       Control Box Switch Installation: Supply and install an operating switch of the control box (delta star).

·       Copper Power Cable Connection (Pump): Supply, install, connect, and commission Copper Power Cable 600/1000 V BS 5467 (3x50 mm2) from the operating switch of the control box to the pump.

·       Copper Power Cable Connection (Source): Supply, install, connect, and commission first-grade Low Voltage Copper Power Cable 600/1000 V BS 5467 (4x95 mm2) from the power source to the well.
