UNICEF East Asia and Pacific (EAP) is seeking for a qualified institution for the provision of Events Management Services for the ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Skills, Employability and Transition to Decent Work in Jakarta, Indonesia in reference to LRPS-2023- 9184246 through UNICEF/UNGM online submission system which your company is invited to participate.

Background

The Regional Dialogue on Young People’s Skills, Employability, and Transition to Decent Work in 2023 is proposed to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, aligned with Indonesia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN under the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicenter of Growth". The event is to be co-organized by the UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office

(UNICEF EAPRO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat and relevant ASEAN bodies, and supported by UNESCO, UN Women, and UNDP.

The 2-day Regional Dialogue will focus on young people's skills, employability, and transition to decent work in ASEAN. This includes pathways for green and digital skills and jobs, as well as bridging gender gaps. The Regional Dialogue aims to take on an integrated lifecycle approach to support adolescents and youth as they transition from education and training to navigating the world of work. Additionally, it aims to highlight the major barriers to adolescent girls' digital and STEM skill development and employability, and explore multi-stakeholder solutions that promote girls' leadership, agency, and empowerment.

Objectives, Purpose & Expected results

The 2-day Regional Dialogue aims to convene policy-level ministerial and senior government participants,

representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations, private sector leaders, United Nations and selected development partners, young people and civil society representatives and leading young social entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.

The objectives of the Regional Dialogue are to:

# Facilitate an intergenerational exchange of lessons, challenges, and good practices relevant to adolescents’ and

youth’s skilling, employability, engagement, and transition to decent work across the ASEAN.

# Promote a shared agenda and roadmap on young people’s skilling, employability, engagement, and transition to

decent work in ASEAN across various stakeholders which will inform meaningful progress on these issues.

# Enable meaningful contributions by adolescent boys and girls, and youth themselves to the shared agenda for

informing policies and shaping solutions to challenges being faced.

Location and Duration

- Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

- Event Dates: 17-18 October 2023

- Contract duration: August to November 2023

- Additional contract duration for completion of all deliverables and reports, final approval, invoicing and payment

process.
