United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Syria, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in upcoming tender solicitations for the Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Detailed Assessment of Buildings and Infrastructure in Syria. Through the provision of specialised equipment for testing and surveying, the UN-Habitat, Syria Program seeks to support specialised technical institutions in undertaking rapid damage assessment for buildings and infrastructure susceptible to damages from a major earthquake that hit Syria in February 2023. The scope of work includes the supply and delivery of the following equipment as per the specifications. 1. Ultrasonic Concrete Testing Devices - Qty - 20. General Specifications: a) Suitable for the inspection of concrete defects by ultrasonic methods, such as uncompacted, cellular, and hole area and ultrasonic method (CECS 21:2000). b) Standard for testing building foundation piles: JGJ 106 —2003. c) Standard for Dynamic Pile Tests for Highway Engineering: JTG/TF81-01-2004. 2. Subsurface Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) - Qty - 4. General Specifications: a) Dynamic Range: minimum 168 dB. b) Maximum Sweep rate: more than 300 lines per second. c) System signal-to-noise ratio: more than 70 dB. 3. Rebound Hammer test on concrete - QTY - 100. General Specifications: a) Digital Test Hammers for the quick and easy determination of the strength of concrete, and hardness of construction materials. b) Large storage capacity, more than 200 standard components, a standard component including 50 test areas, one test area including 16 test points, completely meet the request of a long-time in-site test. c) Have a real-time clock calendar function, that can automatically record test dates. The complete detail of the requirement and specifications will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed.
