Update of ILO Global Study on Recruitment Fees and Related Costs

The ILO is seeking to commission a team of qualified experts to update the ILO Global Study on Recruitment Fees and Related costs to:

i) analyze to what extent  governments, multi-stakeholder initiatives and the private sector have integrated the ILO definition of recruitment fees and related costs into their policies and practice;

ii) shed light on the progress made, challenges encountered, and regulatory gaps to be addressed;

iii) update the data collected on recruitment fees and costs 5 years ago under the first edition of the Global Study while analysing new trends (e.g. initiatives on reimbursement of recruitment fees and related costs).

 The study will be global in scope and will include country level and regional level analysis from Asia, Africa, Arab States, Latin America and Europe. The components of the study will include
