Description

 This request for proposal is to select a team to undertake systematic reviews and appraisal of the evidence on the topic of prevention of bloodstream infections (BSI) and other infections associated with PIVCs according to specific PICO questions. The review will be the basis for the development of recommendations using the GRADE approach to inform the preparation of WHO GLOBAL GUIDELINES FOR THE PREVENTION OF  BLOODSTREAM INFECTIONS AND OTHER INFECTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF INTRAVASCULAR CATHETERS. PART 1 – PERIPHERAL CATHETERS. The systematic reviews are expected to include health outcomes and contextual factors, including cost, where possible. The final search strategy and methodology is to be developed in consultation with the WHO Secretariat responsible for leading the programme of work.
