Provision of Facilities Maintenance Services and Minor Construction Works in Somalia

1. United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably-qualified contractors with required expertise and experience to provide Facilities Maintenance Services and Services for minor construction works for the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), headquartered in Mogadishu, and with camps and regional mission support Field Offices (FOs)/AMISOM, located in Baledogle, Dhobley, Baidoa, Beletweyne, Jowhar, Kisamayo and Dhusamareb (upcoming); all within Somalia (please see enclosed survey link for geographical representation of the service regions and note the requirement to respond). 2. The successful Contractor's responsibilities under this contract shall include but not be limited to the facilities maintenance of all soft and hard wall buildings for office, living, and recreational accommodation along with the support infrastructure. The service requirements shall include: a). All Routine, Preventive and 24/7 Emergency Facilities Maintenance and Repair/Upgrade Services and minor construction works tied to ensuring the upkeep of all infrastructure including Carpentry, Paint Works, Masonry, Plumbing Works, Electrical Works, Welding Services, Demolishing/Dismantling works, and the like for: -Prefabricated Buildings, Modular, Ablutions, Kitchens, Containerized, Conventional Hardwall Buildings, Bunkers and Safe Havens, Softwall/ Warehouse Buildings (optional requirement pending confirmation) -Horizontal Infrastructure (Roads, Parking, Helipads, Aprons, Runways, Taxi Ways, Storm Water Drainage Systems). - Linear Infrastructure (Fences, Drop Arm Barriers, Gates, Walls, T-Walls, Berms, Ditches and the like), - Maintenance of primary infrastructure, such as the utilities service line from the main distribution point to the buildings, and minor construction works. b) Project Management Office Services to provide support for: - Hangar Events Management Services, - UNSOS Reception Manpower Services (URS) and, - Field Technology Section (FTS) Manpower Services. - Providing oversight on all activities related to implementation of the contract in each operational location, including complete staffing of personnel (management, supervisory, technical, skilled labor, admin and support staff and the like) required to undertake functions/tasks under the Scope of Requirements (SOR). 3. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that the above services are delivered in an efficient and timely manner and in line with international standards for service delivery and safety. 4. The detailed scope of requirements, including the technical specifications, quantities and expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN's Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be sent out to all qualified vendors responding to this expression of interest (EOI).
