Description

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) has embarked on two major capital projects, viz the Replacement of Office Blocks A-J and the Renovation and Expansion of the Conference Facility Project. The projects represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the UN to modernize and completely revitalize the central core and the public face of the 140-acre UNON facility in a manner befitting of the United Nations Headquarters in Africa.

The purpose of the Seminar is to provide participants with the following:

  • general information on the scope and indicative timeline of these projects.
  • an overview of how to do business with the United Nations, which includes the UN Procurement Principles, Vendor Registration, and related information pertinent to bidding in UN tenders.

UNON hereby extends an invitation for Seminar registration to vendors who have been in business for the past ten years or more and operate in any of the following categories:

Architectural and Engineering Design services, Programme and Quantity Surveying Services, Risk Management Services and Large-Scale Construction Services.

Registration will take approximately 7 minutes to complete. UNON requests that vendors complete the registration by close of business Monday, 5 December 2022.

Vendors with the following attributes are strongly encouraged to participate: -

(1) being a disability-inclusive supplier,

(2) having a demonstrated goal to achieve gender equality,

(3) having status as a woman-owned business,

(4) from developing countries, countries with economies in transition and least developed countries.
