Description
The UNGSC’s mandate is to ensure efficient and effective peace operations through the core logistics, geospatial, information and telecommunications technology services it provides. UNGSC owns, manages, and operates from its Teleports in Brindisi and Valencia, a private satellite communications network with about 200 Satellite VSAT C Band remote terminal. Each teleport is equipped with five (5) satellite earth stations in C band and KU band pointing to three (3) different satellites over the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean regions. The UNGSC is planning to construct two new buildings and entrance area in the Valencia teleport. The intention is to request an RF radiation analysis and a comprehensive report on the impact that two of the Valencia teleport antennas would have on the projected buildings regarding human beings’ exposure to hazardous levels of RF radiation. Further details will be provided at the tender stage.
