Description
1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the supervision, maintenance and repair services to two (2) swimming pools including the supply of chemicals and spare parts, on an "as and when required'' basis. 2. Details of the two swimming pools and locations are as follows: - Ledra Place Hotel, Nicosia - surface area of approx. 22.75x10.8 meters and depth of 1.15 to 3 meters. - Camp San Martin, Skouriotissa - surface area of approx. 25x10 meters and depth of 1.15 to 2.35 meters. 3. The main elements of the required services are detailed below: - repair and servicing of existing plant rooms; - training and supervision of UNFICYP staff on the maintenance and running of the pools; - the provision of a maintenance person for a day on a weekly basis at each facility; - provision of an on-call services; - supply of chemicals and equipment; - provision of operating and maintenance manuals; and - preparation of a long term plan for the up keep and automation of the pools. 4. The resulting contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years with an option to extend for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year each. The Contract is anticipated to commence in the forth quarter of 2022. 5. Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend the site visit, as part of the solicitation exercise. 6. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above. 7. The Vendor Response Form is also available in our website www.unficyp.org. 8. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Level 1 at the time of the award. 9. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at www.ungm.org for Level 1 registration.
