Description

Description of the requirement:

UNICEF is procuring on regular basis Walk-in Cold Rooms (WICs) and Walk-in Freezer Rooms (WIFs) for use in immunization programs in countries around the world. WICs/WIFs are typically used at the central and regional levels for storage of vaccines. WICs/WIFs are pre-fabricated modular constructions in pre-defined sizes, designed for installation/operation inside a building, powered by mains electricity and possibility of back up by a generator (supplied separately).

UNICEF is planning to issue a solicitation with a goal to establish a Long Term Arrangements (LTAs) for initial period of 3 years and possibility of extension for 2 additional years. The solicitation will be launched mid-August 2022 and will allow 4-5 weeks for submission of offers by suppliers.

With this REoI, UNICEF is requesting Expressions of Interest from eligible suppliers to participate in the upcoming solicitation.

Products identified in this REoI:

- Walk in Cold Room with mono block cooling unit, in sizes: 10 cbm, 30 cbm, 40 cbm;

- Walk in Cold Room with split cooling unit, sizes: 30 cbm, 40 cbm;

- Walk in Freezer Room with either mono block or split cooling unit, 20 cbm;

- Combined Cold Room / Freezer Room with either mono block or split cooling unit, 40 cbm;

 

Eligible products / suppliers

This REoI is addressed to manufacturers:

- Listed under the WHO PQS category: E001 - Cold rooms, freezer rooms and related equipment;

- Planning to pre-qualify their products with the WHO PQS within the next 1-3 years. UNICEF would like to encourage manufacturers to pre-qualify with WHO PQS. UNICEF will allow for establishment of LTAs with newly re-qualified suppliers and will be informing interested manufacturers about the process with regard to such new LTAs.
