1. The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expression of Interest EOI) from duly registered companies for the Provision of Bus services for the transportation of MONUSCO personnel between Kigali (Rwanda) - Goma (DRC) - Kigali (Rwanda) and Bujumbura (Burundi) -Bukavu (DRC) - Bujumbura (Burundi). 2.ROAD ROUTES: All buses are required to supply the routes listed below. The last two routes (* = g & h) will only be requested when buses are already in the Uvira/Bujumbura region: a. Kigali -Goma b. Kigali -Bukavu c. Bukavu UN HQ -Bujumbura (Via Uvira) d. Bukavu UN HQ -Bujumbura (Via Ruhwa) e. Kavumu Airport -Bujumbura (Via Uvira) f. Kavumu Airport -Bujumbura (Via Ruhwa) g. Uvira -Bujumbura (*) h. Bujumbura Transit Camp -Bujumbura Airport (*) 4. ROAD WORTHINESS AND INSURANCE: • Buses should have current road worthiness certificate and third party insurance coverage; comprehensive insurance is desirable. • Buses should be fully compliant with local road transportation rules and regulations (in country of registration). • Drivers of the buses should have valid driving permits and other documents compliant with local rules and regulations for the movement of passengers (in country of issuance including transit states). • Drivers and buses should have valid operating permits (COMESA) for all of the countries they will operate, including - but not limited to - DRC, Burundi and Rwanda. • Buses should be able to travel between Bukavu-Bujumbura and Bukavu-Kigali, Uvira-Bujumbura and between Goma-Kigali. 5.Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid. 6.MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the Invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities. Submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the documents; MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI’s received after the deadline indicated below. 7.The Expression of Interest may be submitted by email to monusco-procurement@un.org, copy john.mwape@un.org, clearly marked with the inscription “EOI- Provision of Bus services for the transportation of MONUSCO personnel between Kigali (Rwanda) - Goma (DRC) - Kigali (Rwanda) and Bujumbura (Burundi) -Bukavu (DRC) - Bujumbura (Burundi).
