EXTENDED DEADLINE: Reviewing and updating the UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Glossary “TVETipedia”

UNESCO is inviting written proposals from a Contractor/company or Individual consultants for the work assignment described below and shared in detail through a web link included in this call.   

BACKGROUND: UNESCO-UNEVOC provides a glossary of TVET terms and definitions which is called the TVETipedia (link to TVETipedia: https://unevoc.unesco.org/home/TVETipedia+Glossary/filt=all)

TVETipedia is one of the most consulted services on the UNEVOC website. The service was created in 2014. TVETipedia has not been updated since 2017. In line with its current Medium-Term Strategy (MTS-III), UNEVOC will upgrade and update the TVETipedia.

The Contractor is expected to perform the following tasks:

1. Review the TVETipedia interface and structure

2. Create thematic subsets of terms

3. Review and update content

The Contractor will be expected to deliver the following main outputs: 

1. Output 1 - A report which discusses the current strengths and weaknesses of TVETipedia and suggests ways in which it could be reviewed and updated in a way that is manageable for UNEVOC and useful for the range of users.  (by June/July 2022)

2. Output 2 - Updated content, structure, and terms of TVETipedia including new terms and definitions from a range of sources. (completed the review and update by October 2022)

Proposals must be written in English, and  should comprise of:

i. A description of the proposed approach that will be applied to fulfil the tasks as outlined in the  Terms of Reference attached to the call (attachment A);

ii. Examples of previous similar projects undertaken;

iii. For Companies: the organizational profile and the profiles or CVs of experts and mentors involved;

iv. For Individual Consultants: the CV of the consultant;

v. The amount to be charged for the assignment, which should be quoted in US Dollars and based on the deliverable as outlined in the ToR for this call.
