The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Iraq Programme, seeks the interest of qualified contractors to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Installation of Solar Power System and Solar Lights in Al-Yarmouk Park, Mosul, Nineveh Governorate, Iraq. The installation of the Solar Power System and Solar Lights will offer more security to the entire area. In addition to the installation works, a hands-on training course will be implemented for selected Municipality staff for the design, operation and maintenance of the solar systems to ensure the sustainability of the implemented solar systems in the park after the project completion. This project is part of the integrated project that UN-Habitat is implementing, aimed at restoring essential public services disrupted by war and conflict and supporting the sustainable return of IDPs. The scope of work consists of Installation of Solar Power System and Solar Lights including; a) Building of a solar system b) Installation of a heating and cooling system c) Installation of solar lighting d) Solar system design, operation and maintenance training IMPORTANT: The complete details of the requirement will be issued to the participating bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a response to this EOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents.
