The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) requires the services of a qualified and certified contractor for the “Collection and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials” at the United Nations Information and Communication Technology Facility (UNICTF) located in Avda. Comarques del Pais Valencia, 2, 46930 – Quart De Poblet Valencia, next to Valencia's Airport Spain. The Service will include the following basic activities, but will not be limited to: - Provision of waste tanks; - Empty waste tanks; - Recovery treatment; - Waste disposal; - Transport waste for recovery to waste disposal site; - Chemical analysis of waste; - Transport waste for disposal/destruction. - Waste advice and consultation on the best procedures for disposal. Alert on legislation changes. The Contractor will be also required to provide the workforce for the de-stuffing of waste from containers. The resulting Contract is intended to have an initial duration of three (3) years, with the United Nations’ sole option to extend the contract for another two (2) terms of one (1) year each (3+1+1) subject to satisfactory bidder’s performance and UN operational needs. Full technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI.
