1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the Construction of Al-Qahira Park in Al-Baker East, Heet district, Anbar Governorate, Iraq. Construction works will be in accordance with the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and drawings. The works will be conducted by local contractors, selected competitively and in adherence to UN procurement policies and procedures. 1.2 The required services shall include supply of manpower, supervision, spare parts, materials, tools, equipment, apparatus, appurtenances including all necessary accessories, hardware, scaffoldings, fasteners etc. to perform the works being called for. 1.3 The scope of work consists of civil, sanitary, and electrical works as detailed below. i) Civil Works: Site preparation, Earthworks (Excavation and Backfilling), Casting of plain concrete, Casting of reinforced concrete for the foundation, columns, beams, slabs and parapets, Brick masonry building, Cement and gypsum plastering, Floor and wall tiles, Skirting, Aluminium and PVC doors and windows, Painting, Roofing, Construction a septic tanks, Construction a concrete ramp with handrail for disabled, Construct steel fence, Tartan layer, Sails sunshade with a steel poles, Interlocking pavers, Concrete kerb stone for sidewalks, Construction of concrete planters with integrated wooden seating, Central water fountain, Circular gazebos, Wooden-steel rectangular benches, grass and trees planting, Supply Outdoor gym / body building equipment and supply children playground equipment. ii) Sanitary/Plumbing Works: Irrigation Network, installation of PPR water pipes, installation of drainage water pipes, and Supply and install oriental toilets, sitting toilet for elderly and people with disabilities, hand wash basins, solar water heater, water storage tank, chrome water taps, and floor drains. iii) Electrical Works: Cabling from the transformer to the MDB then to the buildings, Supply and install electrical distribution board with security cage, Supply and install outdoor lighting poles, Supply and install earthing system, Supply and install LED lighting, wall sockets and switches, Supply and install main circuit breaker boards, and Supply and install ceiling fans, exhaust fans and water pumps. 1.4 A compulsory site visit and pre-tendering conference shall be arranged and conducted for interested Contractors in order to acquaint all participants with the environment and scope of work and services required. The contractor shall perform mandatory site visit and pre-bid conference with the UNAMI/UN- Habitat project representatives, before submission of the bid in order to fully understand the conditions of the sites. After a complete mandatory site investigation, the vendor is requested to submit a quotation for the services according to the contract requirements. 2.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a tender solicitation to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s/UN-Habitat's requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNGM Registration at Basic Level or above. 3. The complete details of the requirement will be issued to the potential bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNAMI reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a response to this EOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents. 4. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of a tender/bid. Its sole purpose is to establish a roster of vendors for upcoming similar tender requirements. The rostered vendors will be eligible to participate in any subsequent related tender for a period of 3 months, after the effective date of establishment of the Roster. In addition, any company interested in participating in this EOI and subsequent tender, will be required to complete the UNGM Registration at Basic Level or above. 5.0 Please note on the following: • UNAMI/ UN-Habitat reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFQ/ITB/RFP document. • UNAMI/ UN-Habitat reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
