Description
1 The Contractor, working under a Task Order to be issued under a Contract to be established, will be expected to take over the camp support and maintenance services for any of or designated portion of thirteen (13) sites in Haiti (Port au Prince, Leogane, Hinche, Jeremie, Jacmel, Gonaive, Miragoane, Cap Haitian, Mon Casse, Fort Liberty, St Marc, Les Cayes and Port du Paix ) and one in Santo Domingo (Parco Cybernetico), Dominican Republic The Services required include the following: 1.1 611500 - Cleaning Services 1.2. 611690 - Grounds Maintenance 1.3. 699500 - Laundry Services 1.4. 523250 - Pest and Vector Control 1.5. 562214 - Garbage and Refuse Disposal 1.6. 562220 - Hazardous Waste Disposal Option 1.7 481965 - Medical Waste Disposal Option 1.8. 952210 - Fire Prevention and Environmental Response 1.9. 611600 - Building and Facilities Maintenance and Repair 1.10. 610000 - Plant and Equipment Maintenance and Repair 1.11 551751 - Septic Pump Out and Maintenance 1.12 671900 - Accommodation Management 1.13 947155 - Provision of Skilled and Unskilled Labour. Details of these services will be provided in the Schedule of Requirements to be issued as part of the bidding documents. The services need to provided both in the MINUSTAH offices and camp premises as well the residential accommodation provided within the camps for Mission staff. The precise scope and range of services will be as described in the Task Order(s) to be established. The range of services may differ from location to location; the full range of camp operations and maintenance services may not be required (if at all) in all camps and locations. MINUSTAH reserves the right to add/remove locations for required services, giving the Contractor 30-day prior written notice. 2. General Requirements. a. Occupational Health and Safety: A general requirement of the provision of services detailed in this Scope or Works is the need for the Contractor to at all times and at all stages of the provision of services, to ensure that Contractor Staff and associated equipment and vehicles adhere to acceptable Occupational Health and Safety standards. This general requirement includes, but is not limited to: i. Provision of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work attire to all Contractor staff, including helmets, boots, overalls, eye protection and safety harnesses as required. ii. Provision of clearly stated and readily available safe working instructions. iii. Display of Material Safety Data sheets for all chemicals, solvents and materials used throughout the cycle of service provision. iv. Training of staff in correct and safer operations across the range of services provided and equipment used. The Contractor is to provide as part of their submission an Occupational Safety Management Plan that clearly states the standards that are to be incorporated and how these standards will be meet when completing the services described in this SoW. A copy of the UN draft OH&S Guidelines will be made available.
