Description

Unitaid, a hosted partnership of the WHO, is seeking a suitable senior level consultant with relevant experience in people management to support Unitaid’s staff engagement for at least one year.

Bidders may submit their proposal in their individual capacity (contract with individual), or submission from a company/firm for one dedicated expert/senior consultant that will be available throughout the contract duration (contract with a company).

Work to be performed (to be further developed after initial meetings with consultant):

1.                Assess the management culture of Unitaid;

2.                Assess the capabilities of individual managers and recommend improvement actions (e.g.: coaching, training etc.);

3.                Advise on how to ensure a consistent style of management across the organization (e.g.: developing a short and simple “Supervisor’s Charter”, which would set out expectations of managers);

4.                Advise management in responding to career development needs of their staff;

5.                Advise on incorporating people management performance and necessary training into the WHO Performance Management and Development System;

6.                Advise on how people management can be more effective when working online (or in a hybrid model with a mix of online and in-person work);

7.                Identify training program(s) for all staff and managers that will reinforce particular aspects of people management (e.g.: Giving and Receiving Feedback, Psychological Safety etc.);

8.                Advise on how trainings mentioned above can be followed up to ensure they effect the required change in the Organization.

 

Requirements:

Education:

Advanced university degree in Human Resources Management (HRM), Law, Organizational Psychology, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in senior human resources/people management roles and development in international, multi-cultural contexts and/or international exposure.
  • Knowledge of current organizational change management approaches and practical experience in their application.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent English knowledge, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Place of work  

Unitaid office in Geneva, Switzerland and consultant’s place of work. Virtual meetings may take place and subject to development or changes on COVID-19 restrictions.
