New clarification added: Question 1: Could you please specify the consecutive and simultaneous events? What is the difference between the two?For Simultaneous InterpretingQuestion 2: Can you provide more information on the interviews? How many participants/interviews, the duration of each interview, the volume/ expected numbers do yu anticipate, please? There is no specification on which platform you will be running the interviews, and there is no section on potential pricing for RSI platforms/technical support.Question 3: Do you need us to quote for this, or can you please clarify the platform used for SI if provided? The tender asks for hourly rates as per Form C for Component 3, which is not typical for simultaneous interpretation. Minimum is usually a half-day.Question 4: Would you please confirm whether half-day is expected for the interview duration? Providers need to belong to IATC or similar certifications. Can they clarify the similar associations (Can ATC be accepted?).Question 5: Can you please clarify to which Creole are you referring? Section II page 2Technical competencies and qualifications of transcribers and translators should be demonstrated, including CVs, certifications, such as ISO standard, membership with the International Association of Conference Translators (AITC), or similar certifications. The service provider should also have adequate technical equipment/systems in place to ensure prompt and efficient service.Question 6: Do these include local languages and dialects (such as Sangho, Creole,..)? 1- Consecutive interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which the speaker makes a speech (or says a few sentences) whilst the interpreter takes notes. The interpreter then reproduces what the speaker has said for the audience.Simultaneous interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which the speaker makes a speech and the interpreter reformulates the speech into a language his audience understands at the same time. We will usually ask for consecutive interpreting. 2-This will depend on the workload of IAIG of that year. Usually, there will be one interviewee and two investigators present during the interview, which will take around 1-2 hours. We expect not more than 5 interviews needing interpreting per month.3-the main platform used for the interviews is Google Meet. Occasionally, the interviews will also take place through phone interpreting.4-As the interviews follow a specific format, we expect they will not take longer than 1-2 hours.ISO certifications could be accepted as well. 5-6-Yes, this includes qualifications regarding local languages and dialects.
