UNPD intends to issue a solicitation for the Provision of furniture for its offices and dormitory accommodation as well as beddings and linens for the United Nations with the purpose of establishing a systems contract for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for two (2) additional one year periods at the sole discretion of the United Nations. The furniture is required for peacekeeping and special political missions as well as offices away from Headquarters. Furniture categories and requirements are listed below but are not limited to: Furniture categories are listed below: - Office Furniture includes: (a) Standard Office Furniture; and (b) Flexible Office Furniture - Accommodation Furniture includes: (a) Dormitory Accommodation; and (b) Barracks Accommodation - Bedding and Linens Additional notes: - Office furniture including but not limited to double pedestal desks, laminated desks, cabinets, drawers, office chairs, pedestals, executive sofas and modular tables. This category also includes flex-space office furniture such as the desk bench system, personal lockers and individual focus booths. - Accommodation furniture including but not limited to bedframes, dining set, wardrove, coatracks, small sofas, outdoor furniture as well as living accommodation for barracks. Furniture should have live and modern color options, storage solutions and overall comfort arrangements. - Most of the United Nations missions work and live in 4x7 (mts) prefabricated containers and hence furniture items should fit in this space and provide comfort and security. - Bedding and Linens should be provided for regular bedding and barrack accommodation. - Design Centre to provide an option to facilitate layout planning of office and accommodation. - Online Catalog: Online solution/search engine where clients can search for products based on the item description, model number, among other criteria.
