REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 1.The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) intendes to enter to a system contract to establish one (1) year contract period with an option of extension for additional two (1) more years and seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the supply of Timber and Plywood for MONUSCO in different locations in the DRC and Entebbe, Uganda. 2. The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to asses potential suppliers who can provide MONUSCO with the ability, skill and knowledge in respect to the supply of Timber and Plywood as specfied above. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and to provide initial relevant information demonstrating their abilitity to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on ungm.org (new vendor only). A detail Scope of Requirment (SOR) will be provided to companies short listed for receipt of the (ITB) documents. 3. The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company's profile, capacity/capability and experience. - provide with a customer reference list - provide us with a list of similar projects or orders already completed Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are authorized to undertake business in DR Congo and Uganda. Interested vendors must also provide copy of the registration certeficate/license(s) of the company with their response. 4. The requested information will only be used by MONUSCO for internal planning purposes, be kept strictly confidential and only authorized personnel will have access to it. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid. 5. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of peformance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (ITB) documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the deadline indicated below. 6. The Expression of interest should be submitted through email to monusco-vendorqueries@un.org and copy sumo.jallah@un.org with a clearly written subject "EOI" - Expression of Interest for the Supply of Timber and Plywood for MONUSCO in Different Locations in DRC and Entebbe, Uganda not later than 12 February 2021, 15:00 hours Kinshasa time (GMT+1).
