The pre-bid notice is hereby revised as per the tender tentative launch date: New planned date for issuing the tender for Menstrual Health Management products is week 6 (8 – 12 February) of year 2021.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), would like to call attention about the upcoming Menstrual Health Management products tender which is tentatively planned to be launched in week 5 of year 2021.

The scope of the bidding exercise is:

  • To cover the category of Menstrual Health Management products including menstrual cups, reusable menstrual pads and disposable sanitary pads. Bidders shall not be required to quote for all items. However, Bidders are encouraged to quote for as many items as possible.
  • To establish multiyear non-exclusive Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with the successful suppliers, to serve the needs of UNFPA’s and UNICEF’s programmes and Third Party Procurement Clients.

We recommend the potential bidders to:

  • Review the following links on how to  become a UN supplier:
    • UNGM (www.ungm.org) and the UNGM’s help center for potential suppliers (https://help.ungm.org/hc/en-us/categories/360002380499-For-potential-suppliers).
    • The introduction of how to become UNFPA’s suppliers, including relevant templates, code of conduct and eligibility: https://www.unfpa.org/suppliers. The same registration process applies to UNICEF.
  • Start as soon as possible the preparation of the documents to be submitted. The requirements and specifications will be shared at the time of the bid. The tender will keep the specifications for the products as generic as possible, but with strong safety requirements. Bidders must be able to demonstrate offered products’ quality and efficacy as per international standards.
