Description
The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) seeks further informaton from competent and qualified companies for the pilot provision of a sustainable way to securely destroy and upcycle paper for one year with the posibility of extending the contract for multiple years if the technoloyg and service proves its financial and environmental viability to the mission. The solution should be in the form of an integrated/compact office machine that makes paper from used printed paper (A4 and A3), on site & on demand. The technology used should be able to turn waste paper (in A4 and A3 format) using "dry fiber technology" (a three step process of defibrating, binding and forming) using 98% less water. As the requirement is quite new and revolutionary, the mission would require a vendor to look at the logistics of supporting, repairing and sustaining such machine and overall operations in Somalia. Including the provision of spare parts and supplies The system must ensure confidentiality of information once destroyed and certified at the ISO 21964-2 Level P7 or equivalent international certificate. And lastly, be capable of generating new paper supply through a clean production process with less environmental impact. At least -30% CO2 emissions. The prospective vendor should be capable of providing support remotely and be able to confidently hand over partial operation by the 2nd year and full operation by the 3rd year through an intensitive training (on-the-job) to staff of the mission. Vendors/Companies interested in this published REOI should submit the following documentation on or before [indicate date]. 1. A brief company profile and certificate of incorporation not more than 5 pages. 2. References in provision of similar services. 3. Provide UNGM registration number or status. 4.
