Q3: As per RETURNABLE BID SCHEDULE 8 - the required similar experience is 100m Bridge as a prime contractor. My question is that in the case of Joint Venture (JV), whether each partner is required to have a similar 100m Bridge or only one company can fulfill the requirement? Are there any limits for each partner to fulfill as a JV Partner?A3: The JV members must demonstrate that at least one of the JV members had successfully executed as a prime contractor a similar project of at least one [1] Pile Foundation Cast-in-situ RCC Girder Bridge of at least 100m length in Afghanistan or in another country with similar geographic and seasonal weather setting during the last ten [10] years.Q4: In the case of Joint Venture (JV), if one company has a similar bridge and another company has a similar road experience, but jointly our companies fulfill the requirement of similar experience under the tender, can we bid?A4: Yes, absolutely. Q5: Do you accept if two companies bid for subject tender as JV partners whilst only one of these JV partners meets the similar experience criterion?A5: Yes, absolutely. Q6: Do you accept if two companies bid for subject tender as JV Partners and only one of these JV-Partners meet the AVERAGE ANNUAL CONSTRUCTION TURNOVER of USD 3,000,000 according to RBS-8?A6: If one of the JVs fulfills the requirement of the Average Annual Construction Turnover, the bid will be acceptable as this requirement will be cumulative for the JV members, i.e. the sum of average annual construction turnovers of the JV members will be summed together in order to calculate the average annual construction turnover of the JV.Q7: We express our extreme interest for the Construction of Harirud Bridge, Approach Roads and River Protection Walls in Herat Province, Afghanistan. We have got the news regarding this tender just today. Since we have only 8 days left until the bid submission deadline, it seems difficult to prepare a responsive bid within this short time. Therefore, we kindly request to extend the deadline. A7: UNOPS will look into this and if deemed necessary, the ITB shall be amended on or before 03DEC2020 to extended the bid submission deadline.Q8: Similar Work Experience did not mention the amount, only stated the required project. Can you tell us the required value of the similar project?A8: The Value of the contract doesn’t matter as long as the bidders demonstrate that they have completed at least one Pile Foundation Cast-in-situ RCC Girder Bridge of at least 100m long.Q9: We missed the pre bid-meeting. Can we still bid for this project?A9: The pre-bid meeting was non-mandatory, so you can bid.
