International Off-Site STC to support MOH in producing a series of video training materials, primarily aimed at Lao health workers
BACKGROUND
Over the past recent years, sub-committees of the national RMNCAH Committee have developed guidelines and references that are being disseminated across the country. There is a need to develop a training module relevant to Health Centres, integrating the essentials of these guidelines in a practical manner. The revised version of the Mother and Child Health Handbook (MCH Handbook) is a practical job aid to increase the quality provision of Essential Health Services. In the era of COVID-19 there is an additional need for both sustaining the provision of those services and providing measures for their safe delivery.
Audio visual digital communication material provides a means to ensure the integrity of the training messages and standards of practice throughout the dissemination to a thousand facilities as well as an opportunity to observe good practices implemented as a way of capacity building of health providers.
PURPOSE/SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY
To support MOH in producing a series of video training materials, primarily aimed at Lao health workers, on Safe and quality provision of Essential Health Service at the Health Centre level, based on the MCH Handbook.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT
- • Meeting with WHO team
- • On-site filming
- • Film editing
METHODS TO CARRY OUT THE ACTIVITY
- • Advising WHO MCH team on script development
- • Shooting of educational videos in Full HD/4k Equipment
- • Studio sound recording, video editing, Subtitles
- • Continuous communication and reflection of feedback from WHO team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
Degree of Bachelor in filming or related fields
EXPERIENCE
The contractor must show a minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivering the type of services covered by this contract. A minimum of 1 year of this experience should be delivering these services in Lao PDR
TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- • Filming short films / video clips
- • Editing and post-production of short films / video clips, including adding sub-titles in English and Lao
LANGUAGES
The contractor must have proficiency in spoken and written English and Lao languages.
COMPETENCIES
- • Communicating in a credible and effective way
- • Producing results with quality on time
