  1. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) at Sudan- Khartoum are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from legally registered, well established, fully qualified, reputable and financially capable companies and/or joint ventures with solid experience in Supply of pharmaceuticals to apply for registration as a supplier for pharmaceuticals. Reputable suppliers are encouraged to fill in the supplier registration form, which can also be found attached herewith.

It is anticipated that the Procurement Services of the United Nations World Food Programme, Sudan (UNWFP) will be issuing tenders for the Supply of pharmaceuticals for the following classifications:

  • Allergy & Immune System
  • Anti-Infective
  • Cardiovascular
  • Central Nervous system
  • Dermatologicals
  • Ear & Mouth/Throat
  • Endocrine & Metabolic System
  • Eye
  • Gastro – Intestinal
  • Genito Urinary
  • Infection Control
  • Intravenous & Other Sterile
  • Respiratory

Eligible suppliers of the above-mentioned goods/services, who meet all the pre-qualification criteria in this EOI (see section II below), will be registered under WFP Sudan Country Office’s vendor roster and may be invited to participate in the subsequent tender. The tender invitation will be open to all register vendors under this category who is able to provide the items described above.

No Commitment: This EOI does not contain a contractual offer of any kind. Any application submitted will be regarded solely as an intention to register and participate on WFP’s tender, and not as an acceptance of application by WFP which will be reviewed by WFP’s Vendor Management Committee (VMC) and approved by Procurement Authority.

Terms of Reference and more details of requirements will be sent to the qualified and registered bidders who will have expressed their interest in the submission of bids.

  1. SPECIFIC INFORMATION

For pre-qualification, you are required to submit the following documents

  1. WFP supplier registration form duly filled in, signed and stamped (find attached). Do ensure that you answer all the questions on the form;
  2. Company profile indicating the goods and services the company wishes to provide to WFP;
  3. Information about the company corporate structure (ownership and management structure);
  4. Business/ Trading License from the country of registration for the current year;
  5. Latest Audited or certified financial statement for the last two (2) fiscal years. Financial statement shall include the income statement, the balance sheet, and, if applicable, the note by the independent auditor. Please be assured that it will be kept confidential;
  6. Letter from your bank with Letterhead of bank with the following details:
  • Bank name,
  • Bank address,
  • Account number,
  • Currency of the account
  • IBAN code,
  • SWIFT code.
  • The intermediary bank account details
  1. At least three (3) reference letters from reputable clients to attest timely fulfilment of contract for similar goods and services;
