The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of the United Nations, Vienna, Austria hereby requests your firm fixed price proposal for the equipment and/or services listed below.IMPORTANT: THIS IS A SEALED BID TENDER
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Your proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope (faxes or e-mails not accepted) and addressed as follows:'Mr. Daniel Hazard, Head, QA Unit/MTPS (SEALED BID)' and sent to the address indicated above.
2. ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SEALED ENVELOPE (as opposed to on the courier packaging or envelope) the name of the firm submitting the bid must appear along with:

4. Cost and Technical Proposals must be submitted as SEPARATE VOLUMES. No prices may appear in the technical proposal. Two copies of the cost proposal volume and three copies of the technical proposal volume should be submitted.

Large Open Head Steel Drum, for overpacking of 200L drums and backfilling with grout Type of drum: Open head drum with lid and bolt closure
Volume: 320 litres nominal
Material of construction: commercial grade cold rolled steel with specifications as per EN 10130/10131 or equivalent standard; Body seam: welded vertical seam and two separate rolling hoops formed into the body of drum; Steel sheet thickness (top, bottom and body): 16-gauge (1.5 mm); Internal dimensions: 65 cm diameter x 98 cm height; minor deviations from the specified dimensions will be considered provided that this overpack drum can easily accept the specified 200L drum; Removable top lid with EPDM gasket and bolted closure ring with bolt provided; corrosion resistant epoxy-phenolic internal coating; final protective external finish yellow in colour; containers must be numbered sequentially on two opposite sides of each container in 5.0 cm black text using the following numbering sequence: BPUR0001, BPUR0002, ...BPUR0300 (exact numbering sequence to be specified with each task order)
MINIMUM QUANTITY TO BE SHIPPED FOR EACH ORDER = 50 each.
Price to be quoted in EURO.
This should be bid and issued as a "Basic Supplier Agreement" for a period of three (3) years between January 2011 - January 2014.

Other Special Terms:
Your proposal must include the following:
1. Firm fixed price for each item and total offer for all items quoted. Partial bids are acceptable. Split orders may be issued. Applicable discounts should be included in the prices, or if noted separately, clearly indicate the discount to be applied to each item. An order may be issued without further negotiation so your proposal should be made on the most favourable terms available. The IAEA reserves the right not to award any order to any of the bidders as a result of this request, and reserves the right to reject all bids or enter into negotiation with the lowest technically acceptable bidder.
2. Fixed price freight costs CPT destination via air freight unless otherwise specified above. Goods must be sent in a single shipment unless agreed to by IAEA. IAEA will cover insurance of goods.
3. Indicate clearly on your proposal any items that require refrigeration or expedited handling due to their perishable nature or use of short half time isotopes.
4. Estimated weight and volume of goods.
5. Country of origin of goods.
6. A minimum offer validity of 90 days.
7. Firm delivery promise stated in weeks ARO (After Receipt of Order).
8. Acceptance of IAEA payment terms which are payment by check or bank transfer net 30 days after receipt of invoice and shipping documents. You are requested to state any discount terms offered for early payment of invoices. You are required to prepay freight CPT destination and IAEA will pay the fixed price for freight. IAEA does not prepay orders and does not issue letters of credit. In the event installation of the equipment is required, IAEA's standard terms are 80 percent of the equipment costs and all of the fixed freight costs on shipment. The balance will be paid upon certification of acceptance by the end user.
9. Acceptance of IAEA General Conditions of Contract available at http://www.iaea.org/About/Business/terms.html. No other conditions can be accepted.
10. In the event functional equipment is being bid, the name, address, and telecommunications numbers for the nearest service representative. 11. Proposal for equipment should include: (a) Sets of manuals in English ( Or other language if specified). (b) Essential accessories and supplies to allow immediate operation of equipment. (c) Complete set of cables for interconnection of all electronic units. 12. Indicate acceptance of Warranty in accordance with IAEA General Conditions with a minimum warranty period of twelve(12) months. 13.
