Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are initiating this Request for Proposal with the aim of unifying their medical insurance in one overall umbrella master policy or, alternatively, separate master policies.

Claim Administrators and Insurance companies are called upon to submit a proposal of Insurance Services based on the RFP.

The medical and disability insurances for which proposals are requested are:

a. The FAO Medical Cover Plan for Supernumeraries/Non-staff (MCS/MCNS) death, disability and medical expenses plan covering defined supernumeraries and also consultants and similar non-staff members.

b. The FAO Medical Expenses Insurance Coverage for locally recruited staff holding a fixed-term appointment in Field duty stations (Medical Insurance Coverage Scheme “MICS”)

c. The FAO, ICCROM and UNESCO disability Plan for medical expenses, death or permanent total disablement (Group Life, Accident and Disability Insurance, “GLADI Plan”) covering staff, members, retirees, eligible dependents, and consultants.

The method of solicitation will be a Request for Proposal with mandatory requirements and evaluation criteria.
