Provision of Maintenance and Repair Services for the UPS Systems

The United Nations intends to engage the services of a qualified vendor for the provision of maintenance and repair services for the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems, manufactured by Schneider Electric, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for three years with two optional extension period of one year each. The United Nations Headquarters is located at 405 East 42nd Street, New York, New York 10017. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and disposal together with all incidentals necessary or required to complete the scope which shall include, but not limited to, the following: - Semi-annual preventive maintenance; - Annual performance check; - Battery replacement service; - Load bank testing; - Emergency repair and individual battery replacement service; - ad-hoc repair of APC equipment; The Contractor shall be fully responsible for maintenance and repair of the UPS systems in accordance with industry standards and practices; and applicable Local, State, Federal, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and the UPS manufacturers’ user manual safety guidelines. All units, equipment and battery systems shall be maintained and serviced in accordance with the original manufacturers’ specific maintenance requirements and troubleshooting diagnostics guidelines. The detailed scope of requirements will be provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this EOI.
