Description

Dear Bidder,

In reference to our Request for Proposal no. RFP1806.2010SB for a Basic Supply Agreement (BSA) for the Development and Delivery of Educational Modules for Self-learning within the Framework of interactive training course (ITC) on Nuclear Knowledge Management, bidders requested clarifications to which the IAEA comments as follows. Question 1 was already responded to via separate message of 2 November 2010.

Question 2:
Content Treatment: We assume that the scope comprises of design and development of 6 modules as specified in Appendix A. These modules are already developed in Adobe Director and vendor is expected to take these as source content (along with other content) for the creation of the web based training.
Response 2:
These 6 modules are already converted into a flesh application. The vendor will receive the application and future modules will have to be developed and integrated into the available flesh application.

Question 3:
Seat Time: Though RFP does not mention the seat time or length of these modules, we assume that the fixed price which is to be provided would be on per learning hour basis (i.e we need to quote fixed price for design and development of one learning hour seat time). And the actual seat time can be arrived in consultation with IAEA team once the project starts.
Response 3:
The module duration should be around 1 hour. Video component without breaks is usually 30-45 min. This means that usually a module does not exceed 1 hour.

Question 4:
NKM: There seems to be different deployment medium like ITC framework on NKM, web based or self-running. We would like to know some details about NKM, is the architecture of ITC-NKM similar to that of an LMS and lends itself for hosting a learning module (SCORM compliant).
Response 4:
NKM is an abbreviation for Nuclear Knowledge Management. It does not assume any extra deployment mediums. There should be basically one flesh product with two interfaces, one for placing it online, another for running from a CD (.exe file). Any compatibility with other products and platforms is welcome.

Question 5:
Deployment: Please let us know what all is expected from the vendor in terms of deployment. Would it be sufficient to hand over the developed packages as per the deliverables mentioned in the RFP.
Response 5:
At the moment we assume only deliverables mentioned in RFP. Deployment will be discussed with the vender as one of the possibilities.
