Provision of Satellite Telephone Services to UNAMA, Afghanistan.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) invites companies to express their interest to participate in upcoming bidding exercise for Provision of satellite phone services to UNAMA, Afghanistan. UNAMA in Afghanistan requires to reliably and securely, access corporate satellite phone services from its offices throughout Afghanistan to effectively communicate even in the most secluded areas, especially for disaster/crisis response. The services provider shall provide satellite telephone services to UNAMA along with all associated equipment, accessories, assistance and support Expectations & Capabilities: The Satellite Telephone/DATA provider should provide Thuraya, ISAT Phone2, Iridium and Inmarsat BGAN terminal, voice and data services to UNAMA and to secure services with the following specification and facilities: 1. The Satellite service provider should provide the services inclusive of Data /Voice network and necessary license agreements with the Ministry of Communication. 2. Provide technical support, as and when required. 3. The voice and data post-paid SIM cards with access to National, and International dialing. UNAMA has a requirement for International voice and data, which should be activated or deactivated upon UNAMA’s request. 4. UNAMA requires maximum coverage of urban areas. The vendor should provide UNAMA with the coverage maps. Please note that this notice is issued only to allow companies to express their interest; it does not constitute a solicitation.
