1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the Provision of laundry services at UNAMI forward support base (UNFSB) located at Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) in Baghdad, Iraq for two (2) years period (1+1), in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, scope of works, general conditions and other related documents. 2.0 The Contractor shall complete the following mentioned works in accordance with the details listed in the SoW and Bill of Quantities (BoQ): 2.1 The successful contractor shall be able to perform the following: • Provide laundry services to all quantity and type of items described in the Scope of Work. • Collect laundry from the designated drop-off point in the Compound per weekly schedule; • Return laundry to the designated collection point in the Compound per weekly schedule; • Maintain a rotational stock of Bulk Washing Items (Sheets, Towels, etc.); • Perform to the standards and follow all applications and directives as identified in this SoW and in the contract. • Keep a ledger of laundry received/issued. • General Requirements: Mobilization, Security Access, Workers Badges, etc. 2.2 Capability to perform the service and obtain security clearance and organize escort for personnel, equipment, tools and materials at UNAMI forward support base (UNFSB) located at the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), Baghdad, Iraq without UNAMI assistance. 3.0 The works include the supply of all materials, fixtures, fittings, equipment and labour necessary for the completion of the services required. After a complete site investigation, the invited Companies are requested to submit a fixed price proposal for the services and spare parts in accordance with the SoW. 4.0 It is Mandatory that Proposers shall visit UNAMI compound inside the UNAMI forward support base (UNFSB) located at the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), Baghdad, Iraq prior to the submission of their proposal in order to thoroughly familarize themselves with the location, operating conditions and specific requirements. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Works (SoW), Bill of Quantities (BoQ), UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for this tender. 6.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI's requirement. 7.0 In addition, the interested companies are requested to complete their registration at Level 1 on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). 8.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
