REQUEST FOR THE EVENT SERVICE PROVIDER FOR YOUTH ART EXHIBITION IN BEIJING, CHINA
The Beijing Expo is an A1 international horticultural exhibition hosted by the Chinese Government and organized by the Beijing Municipal Government. It is the largest scale Expo and of the highest level after the 1999 Kunming Expo and the 2010 Shanghai Expo. With ‘Live Green, Live Better’ as the theme and ‘Integrating Horticulture into Nature and Touching Souls with Nature’ as the philosophy, the expo park covers a total area of 503 hectares in Yanqing district, Beijing.
This expo showcases best practices internationally and providing a space for dialogue and exchange among various stakeholders to promote green development through sustainable horticulture. Over 100 countries and international organizations joined this expo.
In response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, promoting 17 Sustainable Development Goals among young people, advocating youth participation and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals, the UNOPS, one of the official exhibitors of the Beijing World Horticultural Expo 2019, has carried out Youth Art Exhibitions for a few times. It has allowed more Chinese youth and children to demonstrate and express their understanding of the 17 SDGs through the art of calligraphy and painting. These events have received active participation and support from the youth, and have promoted the SDGs among the young generation.
To further promote these achievements and encourage the youth to contribute towards the achievement of SDGs in China, we are planning to hold a two-day event, whilst exhibiting all the best artworks, to officially wrap up the Horticultural project.
