WMO MULTIPLE OUTPUT PUBLISHING SOFTWARE SYSTEM

WMO is seeking a Multiple Output Publishing Software System that shall carry out the activities listed below: • The publishing tool should be easy to learn and use and should facilitate single-source publishing to multiple outputs; • The tool should speed up proofing processes and improve workflow and collaboration including external parties (currently external translators can work in the file produced with our publishing tool without having to purchase the license); • The tool should support multi-language publishing. The produced output must work in all 6 UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish); • The tool should be platform-independent; • The tool must generate validated XML without complex tagging or any specific XML knowledge; • The tool must offer XML compatibility for future publishing purposes (migration from publications done with the current publishing tool to the new one). • The Contractor should have experience in working with large editorial companies or international organizations.
