Request for Proposal (RFP) for organization of IMAGES MENA Lebanon launch event and implementing a related social media campaign -In Lebanon
UN Women (UNW), grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Placing women’s rights at the centre of all its efforts, UN Women leads and coordinates United Nations system efforts to ensure that commitments on gender equality and gender mainstreaming translate into action throughout the world. It provides strong and coherent leadership in support of Member States’ priorities and efforts, building effective partnerships with civil society and other relevant actors.
UN Women is opening a Request for Proposals for organizing the launch event of the IMAGES report in Lebanon, and for implementing a related social media campaign to accompany the launch. We are aiming at building community support to advance gender equality in Lebanese society through engaging men and boys. The campaign is an evidence-based one where it will build on the results of the IMAGES research.
The overall objective of this request for proposals is:
- To disseminate the results of the IMAGES research to raise awareness on gender inequalities, and ensure ownership by gender equality advocates, institutional stakeholders and communities; and
- To design and execute an innovative evidence-based social media campaign entitled “Because I am a Man” which addresses gender equality with a focus on masculinities and engaging men and boys.
