Call for External Collaborator – Validation of Child Labour Observatory (CLO) Profiles for Africa, ILO FUNDAMENTALS

Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The Child Labour Observatory (CLO) is an online platform, currently under development, that responds to the requirement of the Durban Call to Action on the Elimination of Child Labour, asking the ILO “create and host a centralized information repository that collates relevant policies, plans, efforts and achievements of Member States in meeting their commitments to achieve SDG target 8.7.” Under the leadership and supervision of the ILO Regional Specialist for Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work for Africa, the consultant will be responsible for supporting the development of the African component of the CLO. To this end, he/she will reach out to child labour focal points and other stakeholders in each of the 54 African countries, obtain from them data and information on child labour (statistics on child labour, national legal framework, policies and plans aimed at eradicating child labour, etc.), analyse them to retain only those relevant for the CLO, have the final product validated by the child labour focal point or any other competent authority, submit the product to ILO FUNDAMENTALS for upload into the CLO platform.
