Description
  • Bersive 2 camp opened in September 2014 to host Iraqi internally displaced persons fleeing conflict from Mosul. The camp was constructed by UNHCR and PWJ and consists of 1,820 shelter plots. Current population in camp is 1,737 families/9,397 individuals. The camp is located in Zakho district, Duhok governorate (37.179196E, 42.862415N).
  • Chamishku camp opened in November 2014 to accommodate Iraqi internally displaced persons fleeing conflict. The camp was constructed by Government of Iraq/KRI and consists of 5,000 tent shelter plots. The camp is located in Zakho district, Duhok governorate (37.177456E 42.667075N). The population of Chamishku camp as of 10 March 2019 is 27,051 individuals (5,034 families).

  • Kabarto 2 camps were established in 26 November 2014 for internally displaced persons (IDPs) fleeing conflict in Sinjar district, Nineveh Governorate of Iraq.
