Data Transfer Line from Geneva to Tokyo for the WIPO PATENTSCOPE JPO Mirror Project

WIPO is seeking to procure a cost effective dedicated high speed network line between its Geneva and Tokyo PATENTSCOPE system locations to maintain the data synchronization between the master system in Geneva and the mirrored system in Tokyo. The business objective is to be able to transfer 40 Gigabytes of incompressible data from Geneva servers to Tokyo servers in one hour, an assumption being that the transfer will be organized by 100 Megabytes file chunks. In full operation, between 40GBs and 150GBs of data are expected to be transferred daily to maintain the synchronization with possible peaks of 500 to 1000 GBs for a few days when complete new data collections or new complete search indexes need to be transferred.
