Construction of Overhead Protection and Sidewall Protection for supplemental accomodations at UNAMI IAF, International Zobe, Baghdad, Iraq

1. The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has an urgent requirement to implement an approximate (2458m2) of Over Head Protection (OHP) and (1735 m2) side wall protection (SWP) structure over its supplementary accommodation, which are located in the International Zone (IZ), Baghdad. The works will include, but not limitted to, the following: • Design work for complete Over Head Protection Structure for the IAF as per the requirement; • Receive of UNAMI approval for the proposed design; • Construction of Over Head Protection structure as per approved design, Quality Control Plan, specifications. 2. The project should be executed by a qualified and experienced company, based on Scope of work (SOW), Bill of Quantities, Specifications, Drawings, Plans, UN General Conditions of contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI accordingly. For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly (Request for Proposal). 3. The selected contractor shall provide materials, equipment and manpower to succesfully complete all required works. Movement and escort of materials, workers to and from the International Zone, shall be the contractor’s responsibility. 4. Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI''s received after the above deadline.
