Description
1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposals for the services of a qualified professional contractor to provide manage and operate security services at the UNAMI Regional Office in Kuwait. 2.0 The contractor shall provide all supervisory, management and other personnel with requisite experience, education and ability and other resources to plan and provide security services operations to the UNAMI facility. The services are predominantly related to access control, CCTV, perimeter patrol, site security, fire drills, crime scene protection, vehicles search. The contractor shall provide security personnel on 24/7 basis, 3 shifts/8 hrs (requirement includes the provision of about 14 guards first shift, 13 guards second shift, 10 guards third shift). 3.0 The intended contract will be for a period of one year, starting on 01 August 2010, with the option to extend at UNAMI’s discretion under the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional one year period at UNAMI discretion. For this purpose UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, and accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Requirement, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 4.0 In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete a UNAMI Vendor Registration Form. To obtain this Form, please contact UNAMI as per the above details. 5.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
