Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre in Brindisi, Italy (UNGSC, Brindisi) has a requirement to establish a Long Term Contract for the Provision of Abrasive Blasting Services on an “as and when required” basis to the UNGSC, Brindisi. The Contract will have an initial duration of three (3) years, with the option to be extended for two (2) periods of one (1) year each, up to a maximum contract period of five (5) years. The UNGSC, Brindisi holds a fleet of various trucks, engineering equipment, flat racks, trailers and containers that become rusty over time and require abrasive blasting prior to painting. The Contractor is requested to supply and use their own tools and equipment to undertake the required services. The types of services will depend on the original painting process of the equipment: the variant of abrasive blasting services may require a mild process that includes soda blasting; alternatively a moderate variant would include glass beads blasting; whilst a highly abrasive process with metal shot or sand being applied to remove the rust and pain. All services must be conducted to allow for proper paint priming and coating of the surfaces after abrasive blasting. The services shall be performed by the Contractor at their premises and the movement of the equipment to/from the Contractor’s location will be arranged by the UNGSC. The Contractor’s premises shall be located within a radius of up to 45 Km from the UNGSC, Brindisi. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: The solicitation documents will be sent via e-tendering platform only to the email address(-es) registered in companies’ UNGM account. Therefore, companies are requested to verify the validity of the contact email address (-es) associated with their UNGM account at www.ungm.org so as to ensure delivery of the notifications and access to tendering documents.***
