Tender description: This is an Invitation to Bid for the Supply of 20 EOD Kit in Tripoli, Libya. Each EOD Kit is to include all of the items as described in the Schedule of Requirements.

Item 4 Magnesium Cone Set, Jet Forming (10 Cones) VU0032 Qty30Does this mean that one set comprises 300 cones? and that the total quantity of 20 sets would mean 6,000 cones?Response: Yes that is correct. One EOD Kit must include one CMD kit. Each CMD Kit must include the items and quantities listed in the schedule under 1.8

New clarification added: The line 1.1, Firing cable 250 m, requests PVC as the insulation. Would ETFE be a suitable alternative?Response: Our requirement is for a qualified military firing cable, with PVC insulation. A firing cable with alternative insulation will be acceptable if evidence is provided that the offered cable is qualified military firing cable

New clarification added: Many of the sepcifications for the hook and line kit (1.3) are shown in imperial sizes. Is it acceptable to offer a metric equivalent, for example instead of a 1/8" wire, we offer a 3mm wire?Response: Yes it is acceptable to offer a metric equivalent to imperial measurements

New clarification added: Dear Sirs,We Kindly ask you to clarify the required quantities of each part number mentioned in the table of item 1.8 “CMD KIT LIBYA CK2902".Thank youResponse: The requirement is as specified in ITB_Section_II_Schedule of Requirements_Revision1_15032017 is for one CMD Kit containing the items and quantities listed in the table under 1.8. For example item 19 in the table which is Plain Detonator Adapter (40). The quantity is specified there as 40. When the quantity is not specified then it is 1 (one), by default. For example, item 10 in the table Tekton Ballistic Plate. Since there is no quantity specified then it is 1 (one)

New clarification added: Dear Sirs,We kindly ask you to reply on the below request for clarifications: - In item "1.10" the requested is " Flak Jacket or protective jacket and wrap around trousers (V50 rated at 475m/s for a 1.102g fragment)." As per the "International Standards for Humanitarian Mine Clearance Operations", The jacket must be capable of withstanding a v50 rating (dry) of 450m/s for a 1.102 g fragments (As per STANAG 2920), hence please confirm that a flak jacket V50 rated at 450 m/s for a 1.102 g fragmantation is acceptable for submission in this tenderThank you Response: Please refer to Amendment: Rev2 under the amendment tab, and note the revised Section II Scedcule of Requirements and Section III Returnable Bidding Forms. The Revised Section II and Section III dated 15 March 2017 replace all previous versions. The main change in the revised documents is related to Item 1.10 Flak Jacket minimum Specs, which now reads as follow: Flak Jacket with the following minimum specs Flak Jacket or protective jacket and wrap around trousers (V50 rated at 450m/s for a 1.102g fragment).

New clarification added: Please can you confirm that the backpack needs to contain the Alfords CMD kit? This will make it a very bulky item and 500D Cordura may not be strong enough for the backpack material.Response: Yes the Military Style BackPack is meant to have the ability to contain some of the items, not all of them. Items that need to be fitted in the Backpack are as listed in the ITB Section II Schedule of Requirements and include the Alford CMD Kit. The specs for the Backpack as stated in Section II are the minimum acceptable Specs

Form E: Manufacturer's Authorisation Form under Section III Returnable Bidding Form is only required for the following items: · Item 1.2 Firing Device· Item 1.5 Metal Detector· Item 1.9 Tactical and Combat Helmet and Visor(V50)· Item 1.10 Flak Jacek· Item 1.11 EOD Suit It is not required to provide the Manufacturer's Authorisation Form for any of the other itemsThe Manufacturer's Authorisation Form (Form E) of Section III Returnable Bidding Forms was amended. A Revised Section III Returnable Bidding Forms is now uploaded under the Document tab. Bidders must use the Revised Section III, dated 08 March 2017, instead of the original Section III

You will need to complete Form A - Joint Venture Partner Information Form which is included in the ITB Section III Returnable Bidding Form
