Description
The UN Recreation Centre is an on-site recreation facility at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), with over 1,500 registered members. The facility serves staff members and members of the diplomatic missions. UNON seeks a qualified vendor to be able to supply and maintain a range of new gym equipment at the UN Recreation Center over the course of a 3 year contract. UNON seeks expression of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies that are registered as an authorized supplier by the equipment manufacturer, to supply and maintain cardio and strength equipment in the Kenyan market. The vendor should demonstrate the ability to provide all necessary equipment and maintenance, material, supplies and labour to fulfil the contract. The vendor would be expected to provide a range of equipment and accessories, no more than 2 years from manufacture date, featuring integrated display screens, USB/Ipod docks and other high tech advancements as applicable to the machine type. The following equipment types and quantities are anticipated on an “as and when required” basis but not guaranteed over the duration of the contract: - Treadmills (8) - Upright bikes (4) - Total Body Arc Trainer (2) - Recline bikes (4) - Rubber mats (100) - Elliptical machines (4) - Rowers (4) - Step machines (4) - Strength equipment for specific muscle groups (arms, calves, glutes, abdominals, quadriceps, back etc (15) - Loose dumbbells - 1,2,3,4,6 kgs (10 pairs each) - Exercise bands – 3 tensions (10 pairs each) - Exercise fitness balls (10) - Tension power tubes – 30, 40,50, and 60 lbs (10 pairs each) The above are only estimates and may increase or decrease. Trade-In Requirement The vendor is required to purchase any and all cardio and strength equipment (not accessories) to be disposed by UNON, currently located at the UNRC gym. Trade-in values of the full equipment inventory are required to be submitted with the tender documents, following the site visit. Service and Maintenance The vendor is requested to provide at least a 3 year comprehensive warranty and maintenance plan for parts, services and labor. Firms interested in providing the above may express their interest to participate in the planned solicitation process by completing the Vendor Response Form in this EOI and submitting it, together with the 2 specific requirements indicated herein (Cover Letter and Company Registration), to UNON email through the Email Address: pdnairobi@unon.org, with a copy to simon.kariri@unon.org, and cecilia.mzee@unon.org before 02 December 2016, 15:00 pm . UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who, in UN’s sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions, may receive the tender solicitation documents.
