National Project Technical Advisor

In collaboration with the National Project Coordinator, Project Director and under the guidance of the Chief Technical Advisor for the regional medical waste project, the National Project Technical Advisor will:

• Facilitate support activities in model facilities on implementation of best environmental practices in health care waste management and the phase out of the use of mercury containing devices in health care delivery;
• Support brokering of MOUs with model facilities
• Provide technical assistance in the deployment of appropriate technologies to the beneficiary health care facilities;
• Facilitate/support institutionalization and roll-out of the national training programs;
• Facilitate/support organization of and act as resource person in national conferences to disseminate project information or in other technical meetings and workshops;
• Support M&E activities of the project;
• Attend and support meetings of the technical advisory committee;
• Prepare terms of references, collaborate with and assist other experts/consultants that will be engaged during project implementation;
