CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Important: The purpose of this call for EOI is to identify appropriate suppliers who can potentially fulfil the requirements. The present call for EOI does not constitute an invitation to tender. Only suppliers deemed qualified by ITC will receive the invitation to tender.

Terms of Reference (summary):

ITC intends to procure laboratory equipment for the following entities in Zimbabwe: Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education and Ministry of Health and Child Care.

In this regard, ITC is seeking the services of an experienced vendor to supply laboratory equipment to the above mentioned entities. The equipment is divided in 3 lots. The vendors must submit complete offer for each lot.

The equipment may include amongst others GCMS, water deionisation system, PH meter, thermometer, Nanodrop spectrophotometer, GMO detection systems, pipettes, incubator, water distiller, samplers and probes…

The ideal service provider/supplier should also have:

1. The Supplier shall propose at least 12 months warranty for the equipment.
2. The Supplier should be able to designate a qualified local agent based in Zimbabwe, Harare, or very closed to Harare which could be contacted for supply of the spare parts / maintenance/servicing / repair.
3. The supplier is required to install and commission (switch on/connect up) some of the equipment.
4. The supplier is required to include training on the basic maintenance for some of the equipment.
5. The supplier is requested accept the UN Conditions of contracts for the provision of goods and services.
6. The supplier must prove experience and ability to deliver the goods and services in this geographical zone.
7. The supplier must have available and qualified team to provide the services.

ITC reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.

Please note that only those companies considered qualified by ITC for this project will be invited to participate in this procurement exercise.
