RREQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 1. The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from duly registered and licensed companies who are able to accomplish its Armoury Modernisation Project (AMP). The aim of this project is to deliver safe and secure storage, underpinned by an accountable management system, of all weapons that are surrendered to MONUSCO until their safe disposal. 2. Requirements are broken down between the following areas: a) Storage System : two armouries (20ft shipping container ) with a storage capacity of 400 weapons for field armouries. And one armoury (40ft shipping container) with a storage capacity of 800 weapons for the central armoury. b) RFID tagging system (RFID tags and readers including 200 blank white personnel cards; 500 weapons RFID tags for each 20ft armoury container and 1000 weapons RFID tags for the 40ft armoury container c) Equipment (Computer, Air Conditioner, internal lighting and Mobile RFID Devices) d) Armoury management System (installation of hardware and software) e) Armoury management training ( training to be conducted in both French and English languages in four (4) locations to National and International staff) 3. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration at Level 2 in the Vendor Database accessible ungm.org (or upgrade their registration at level 2). A Statement of Requirement (SOR) including detailed specifications of the requirements and the relevant Bill of Quantities will be provided to companies short listed for receipt of the ITB documents. 4. The following mandatory pre-qualification documents shall be submitted by the service provider: a. Complete the Vendor Response Form and clearly specify the UN Global Market Place (UNGM) Vendor ID Number, if not registered b. Complete UN Vendor registration at Level 2 in the Vendor Database accessible at ungm.org (for new vendors only) Any failure to provide the above mentioned documents will result in the rejection of your EOI and your company’s disqualification for receiving the ITB documents. 5. Please note that this Request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of your bid. 6. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on the pre-qualification documents stated in paragraph 4 above. Submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the ITB documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs that do not meet our requirements. 7.
