It is anticipated that the Procurement Division of the United Nations ("UN") will shortly be issuing a solicitation for the provision of Occupational (workplace) safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In this regard, the UN is requesting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of Occupational safety PPE to the United Nations. The requirements includes PPE for a variety of anatomical and physical parts of the human body designed to prevent fatalities and injuries, mitigate workplace accident or incident impacts, reduce occupational, work environement and/or work process safety risk and in overall enhance the workplace safety/protection for UN staff in their respectively workplaces while performing and/or undertaking work on behalf of the UN organization. Delivery locations for the PPE will include New York, USA, Brindisi, Italy, Vienna, Austria, Geneva, Switzerland, Entebbe, Jerusalem, Abyei, Bangkok, Santiago, Uganda, Copenhagen and UN Field Missions in Mali, Western Sahara, Central African Republic, Darfur, Kosovo, Cyprus, Lebanon, India, Pakistan, Haiti, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Norther Sudan, Syria, West Africa, Libya, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Guinea-Bissau, Central Africa, Burundi, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan The solicitation is intended to establish a systems contract for an initial period of three years, with two optional one year extension periods at the UN's discretion. Detailed specifications and approximate quantities for the entire contract period will be provided in the tender document.
